The circle is an important symbol in Indigenous cultures. The Medicine Wheel is an interconnected systems of teachings that travel in a clockwise direction.
The seasons, directions, elements, colours and the cycle of life are all represented in the Medicine Wheel. We all began in the East, in our infancy.
The season is Spring, “Ziigwan”, and everything is starting to come to life. The trees, the grass, the flowers are all starting to bud and grow.
The ice is melting and the water is flowing again. Animals are being born and insects are hatching. The sap is running in the trees and all our relations are meeting up again. All is new.
